Monday 4th November 2019 Exciting day today, we changed a lock for an elderly lady in Roundhay LS8 because the keys for the house was stolen out of her bag. Fitted a new anti snap lock lock in a composite door in Morley to upgrade the security as the customer was concerned about a few burglaries that have happened in Morley. We’ve just been called out to inspect a damaged UPVC door that had been the victim of an attempted burglary. Unfortunately the door had been burnt around the lock using a blowtorch, so the door is beyond repair and needs a new one fitting, which are fitting next week. Wednesday 6th November 2019 Our first job today was carrying out repairs to a double glazed unit which had been smashed yesterday. The customer couldn’t thank us enough for the quickness we had the glass measured, ordered and replaced. Next job was repairing a bathroom window lock that had seized up and was no longer working. Within a hour we had the new mechanism and new handle fitted and the UPVC was working correctly again.

Bit of a quiet day today for 1st Leeds Locksmiths. We’ve measured up 2 different double glazing jobs to install the next available working day. Both properties were in Pudsey, which leads me to believe the local hoodlums have been up to no good. It’s an unfortunate situation for the good people of Leeds, but there is not much you can do to combat this problem.

Collected and installed the new double glazed units from Friday. Both customers couldn’t thank us enough. Our next job involved gaining entry to a back UPVC door that had totally jammed shut and wouldn’t open. We had the door open within 20 minutes with not even so much as a mark on the door, fitted the new main multipoint locking system and adjusted the door so it wouldn’t happen again. With yet another happy customer.
